All you need is one KB for this workout that can easily be done at home. .
Just follow the instructions and don’t count the total burpees you’ll end up doing.  Burpees build characters.  You’ll be better for it.  I promise. 😬

Instead of thinking that something is ‘fine’ (for whatever reason), ask yourself if there is something being left unsaid. Just because you aren’t addressing the elephant in the room doesn’t necessarily mean that things are ‘fine’. .
The ability to speak AND be heard (there is a difference) not fully expressing or showing up as our entire selves simply puts us at a disadvantage. The words, the thoughts, the feelings will all turn inwards and can manifest itself in different ways. (If you e studied the chakras then this is linked to the fifth chakra - the throat chakra). .
Finding our voice can be difficult but some ways to express ourselves (and open up this chakra): Singing, screaming, journalling (manifesting, writing without judgement), daily affirmations, sharing your thoughts openly in a safe space. Find a way that works for you….even the smallest step is a step forward. .

Instagram post 2195434207000857444_145280626 I made this seafood red curry a couple of weeks ago and I am still thinking about it. I sort of cheated with this meal using a ready made paste but meh. I’m totally fine with it.
.
What you need:
1 onion, chopped
4-5 garlic cloves, chopped
1 cup of cubed butternut squat and sweet potato
1 can @thaikitchen coconut milk
2 heaping tbsps @thaikitchen red curry paste
Spinach
Shrimp and scallops
S & P
.
How:
In a pan with a little oil, sauté onions, garlic , salt and paper n a pan until translucent. Add in the red curry paste and turn the heat to medium. Add in the coconut milk, squash and sweet potatoes and let it simmer for 12-15 minutes. Once vegetables are tender add in seafood, cover and turn down to low to allow the seafood to cook slowly. Adjust your consistency with a little water if needed. Once the dish is done add in a heaping amount of spinach. .
Easy peasy.

I think I was around 8 or 9 years old when this was taken for a homemade mothers day picture frame in school. And I distinctively remember making the teacher take my pic in the hall with no one there because i was embarrassed because the white turtleneck was not forgiving to the little boobs i was developing (earlier than my classmates) or the little chub that was starting.  And that hair that was forever in fly away mode (all my pics had this hair 😂). But God bless my mom because she put this up at her desk and it remained there for the next 25 years (no joke). Looking at this picture I can’t help but think of all the advice I would have imposed on this little girl. It would sound something like this:
.
🗣You look fine the way you are. You may grow out of the ‘baby fat’ or you may not. Regardless you need to own it and love the f*ck out of yourself
🗣A two parent household does not equal more happiness. Of course if may afford you other luxuries but you will come to realize that they can actually be the most unhappiest people
🗣Its okay to speak up but 1) think before you speak and 2) ask yourself what the intention is behind it
🗣Its way more fun to stand out. Being different is dope AF
🗣Not every friendship or relationship is meant to last so don’t get too attached and be afraid to let go
🗣Being sensitive isn’t a bad thing. It just means you are human and have feelings. So keep feeling, keep processing and keep crying
🗣When something isn’t right or more importantly doesn’t feel right let your voice be heard. Never stop speaking up for yourself
🗣Be kind but by all means don’t take any bullshit
.

All the work starts from the inside. Getting real with yourself and to a point of acknowledging the situation you are in and then genuinely wanting to make that change. .
It goes beyond just the regular positive mindset. Accepting where you are currently at and honouring your journey up until this point and what is about to happen is crucial in your healing journey (whatever that make look like to you). And more importantly the openness to make change. ❤️

If you aren’t taking the extra 4 minutes to caramelize your bananas then you simply aren’t living. I try to make my oats as nutrient dense as possible hence adding the hemp seeds (protein and good fats) and collagen (protein). .
My go to oats recipe:
1/2 cup oats
1 tablespoon @organikahealth collagen
1.5 tbsp shredded coconut
1 tbsp @manitobaharvest hemp seeds
1 heaping tbsp PB
Lots of cinnamon and nutmeg
Nut milk
.
Combine all ingredients in a pot and cook until desired consistency. Remove from heat and pour into a bowl. For bananas simply heat some coconut oil in a pan and add sliced bananas. Let them get golden on each side and then remove from pan. Top oatmeal with bananas and any other desired toppings. I used the apple cider jam which I totally regret only buying one jar so using VERY sparingly at the moment. .
